Eloquent Hell

Poem XV

Earthbound and
Inching to daylight
Unaccustomed innocents
Complain of youth
Jaundiced walls
Close always tighter and
Rendered tendrils
Ever creep inward
Patterns seen
Insidious designs
A state of things
Beyond comprehension
